satisfaction.
oh, it's been a good week. culminating in a good day. and yes, i realize today is only wednesday, and i don't want to jinx stuff. nevertheless. today i finished my semester, and am officially more than halfway done with my master's degree.
and you know what my favorite part is? my favorite part of ending a semester is not turning in those last papers all nice and pretty, though that is satisfying. and it's not the series of last-class potlucks, though i do like free food. no, my favorite part of ending a semester is going through all my class notes and handouts and separating what gets filed away, what gets recycled, and what gets reused as scratch paper. i know, i know, kinda boring. but really satisfying, for whatever reason. i guess it appeals to that little slice of me that's OCD - everything filed away in its place, organized and ready for reference. and all the stuff i didn't care about? why, i'll be printing guitar chords on the backs of those. satisfying. getting all my ducks in a row.
